ROXUL® products are mineral wool fibre insulations made from basalt rock and steel slag. This combination results in a non-combustible product with a melting point of approximately 2150°F (1177°C), which gives it excellent fire resistance properties. TopRock® delivers advantages that are critical in today’s roofing environment. It is intended for commercial and industrial roof insulation applications and is suitable for both new building and re-roofing applications. TopRock is designed to provide the optimal combination of insulation value, fire resistance, dimensional stability and substrate resilience. Its high density and fibre orientation provide a barrier that reduces sound transmission through the roofing system. In addition, TopRock DD Plus and TopRock DD feature dimensional stability, point-load bearing characteristics, and resistance to fire and high temperature that eliminate the requirement of a cover board in the roofing assembly. |
Dual-Density Technology
State-of-the-art technology enables Roxul to produce the unique TopRock DD Plus and TopRock DD dual density products . The main feature of these products is a higher density top layer. This higher density top layer is produced simultaneously with a lower density bottom layer and are combined in a high temperature oven to create a monolithic, rigid roof product. |
