ROXULŽ products are mineral wool fiber insulations made from basalt rock and slag. This combination results in a non-combustible product with a melting point of approximately 2150°F (1177°C), which gives it excellent fire resistance properties. ROXUL mineral wool is a water repellent yet vapor permeable material.
CavityRock® is a non-combustible, lightweight and water repellent, semi-rigid insulation board, for use in cavity wall applications. Specifically engineered for this application, CavityRock®’s low moisture sorption enables it to maintain R-value and its mineral fiber structure allows for effective drainage of water which penetrates the exterior wall. In addition, installation of a fire stop is not required because CavityRock® is a non-combustible insulation. The product is compatible with all air/vapor barrier systems, adhesives and wall ties.
