Roxul® Launches Partnership with Top Two Stone Wool Tapered Roofing Suppliers in North America

Roxul is pleased to officially announce the launch of our partnership with two key tapered roofing suppliers, ModulR TS Inc. and Posi-Slope Enterprises; who specialize in both the design and fabrication of custom tapered systems. Both companies have on-staff technical estimators to develop customized CAD designed drawings and details to suit the specific needs of each individual project. Installation is also made easy with clearly marked tapered installation packages for quick on-site assembly.
ModulR has been using our stone wool to fabricate tapered systems for nine years now on projects such as the Bruce Nuclear plant, the Hydro Quebec – Hydro Electric Dam, and facilities for the Iron Ore Company of Canada. In recent months Beacon Roofing Supply purchased Posi-slope Enterprises, giving us the opportunity to extend our relationship further. Posi-slope has been using mineral wool products for the past eighteen years. Their project portfolio includes Pearson International Airport, the University of Western Ontario, the NRC Campus and also the Bruce Nuclear plant.
Tapered systems are designed to eliminate the ponding of water on both new construction and existing re-roofs. Stone wool tapered insulation products are compatible with virtually all types of roofing membranes including Single-Ply, Modified Bitumen and Built-Up Roofing. These tapered insulation systems are available in a wide range of slopes, starting at “0”, and are customized to satisfy most drainage or thermal requirements. Our stone wool roofing products are fire-resistant, have a stable long-term R-value, are dimensionally stable, impact resistant, sound absorbent, and have excellent water management properties. Stone wool insulation is made from a high percentage of recycled materials which also helps contribute to LEED® points.
This is a busy time for the roofing business and we are excited to have the top two tapered stone wool fabricators in North America working with us on what looks to be a promising year ahead.
ModulR TS Inc. has had a working relationship with Roxul for the past twelve years. ModulR is a pro-stone wool fabricator which opened its first factory in Cocagne, New Brunswick in 1998 and has expanded and set up a third generation asphalt line in Paris, Ontario. ModulR distributes to customers throughout Ontario, Quebec, the Maritimes, western Canada and the US.

Posi-Slope Enterprises was acquired by Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc in July 2010. Roxul has had a working relationship with Beacon Roofing for the past eight years and is pleased to expand that relationship to work with Posi-Slope Enterprises. Posi-Slope has two locations in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec and services customers throughout Canada and the US.
