Roxul® Expands Capacity Through Asset Acquisition of Stone Wool Pipe Insulation Machines
Milton, Ontario, Canada – Wednesday, March 9, 2011- Roxul Inc announced today that it has, subject to the granting of Court approval, reached an agreement to acquire two mandrel-wound pipe production machines – one medium diameter and one large diameter machine, from Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc the Court appointed receiver of Fibrex Insulations Inc.
Roxul will install both machines in either their Grand Forks, BC or Milton, Ontario production facility with the intention to have the additional pipe capacity available by September of this year.
This capacity will compliment Roxul’s four existing pipe machines in Grand Forks and help service the strong demand for pipe insulation in North America.
As part of Rockwool International, Roxul will continue to offer our customers high quality pipe insulation sections produced at our sister companies in Europe and Asia.
Roxul will advise when details regarding the final location of the pipe machines and commissioning dates are confirmed.
