LEED Credits
Roxul insulation is the right choice for creating sustainable buildings and earning valuable LEED credits
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED® is a consensus-based system for rating the design, construction, operation, and certification of the world’s greenest buildings. Both the USGBC and the CaGBC administer the LEED®rating system in the pursuit of environmentally responsible and more sustainable buildings and development.
With LEED®, buildings earn certification through accumulating points across six categories throughout the construction process. Roxul products help builders earn up to 22 points towards projects LEED® certification in either Canada and the USA in the following categories:
- Energy & Atmosphere: EA Credit 1
- Materials & Resources: MR Credits 2.1, 2.2, 4.1, 4.2, 5.1, 5.2
- Indoor Environmental Air Quality: EQ Credits 3.2, 7.1,
- Innovation & Design Process: ID Credits 1 to 1.4
Note: Different Roxul products achieve different LEED® points. Earn all you can by consulting Roxul’s in-house LEED® advisor at rockford.boyer@roxul.com
